This is the original wiring diagram printed by GM for dealer mechanics. You can follow the wiring in your truck from bumper-to-bumper. To verify that this is the correct diagram for your truck, you can check your VIN code. The 2nd digit should be a C for the conventional cab, the third digit should be an S for the in-line 6 gas engine, the 4th digit should be a 5 or 6 to indicate the series, and the 6th digit should be an 6 for the 1976 model year.
