This oversized book is a dealer-only album that salespeople used. These books were made to train salespeople on how to sell Mercury cars. It is divided into two roughly equal sections: Product Information and Comparison Information.
The Product Information section shows black and white pictures of the car along with text that points out great features. You'll see side views for each body style. Many of the pages include a photograph of a certain feature along with a paragraph describing its interior and exterior styling, spaciousness, mechanical features, standard equipment, and options.
The second half of the book compares the Comet to Buick Special, Oldsmobile F-85, Pontiac Tempest, Chevrolet Corvair and Biscayne, Plymouth Valiant and Savoy, Dodge Lancer, Ford, Falcon Rambler & Studebaker Lark. You'll see charts for Mercury and their competition detailing dozens of specifications: engine specs, interior and exterior dimensions, and more. You'll see head-to-head comparisons of the Mercury and one competitor showing standard and optional equipment specifications on each, with illustrations. Includes a few pages dedicated to wagons also.
