This is a reproduction of the manual that Erskine mechanics used to service cars. You will find step-by-step illustrated repair instructions for: axles, steering gear, propeller shaft, brakes, body, chassis & frame, engine, fuel system, transmission, clutch, and electrical. You'll find directions for troubleshooting and diagnosis, along with assembly, dissassembly, and repair. With clear pictures, exploded view illustrations, wiring diagrams, schematics, and specifications, you will have the information you need to get your project on the road and keep it there. This information was originally published in an extremely rare nine volume set of manuals; this reprinted book includes the portions of the set that apply to the Erskine all in one handy volume, except for special tools and service bulletins (please see my other items for the separate service bulletins). The set of books was originally published in 1927 and covered back to 1925. This one has updates in it that include repairs up through 1929. Since the 1930 Erskines were similar, this book should be helpful for working on them also. Overall the print quality is very good, although the book includes a small percentage of pages that are speckled since the originals had some darker pages; all text and pictures are clearly readable. You can use this manual to restore all 1927-1930 Erskine models including Six, Sedan, Coupe, Roadster, Tourer, Club, Custom, Royal, 50, 51, 52, and 53. This book is in brand new condition.
