This manual was written to train MoPar dealer mechanics on the features and service procedures new for the 1970 model year. In some cases you'll find step-by-step service procedures, and in others you'll see descriptions of how new features work and how they differ from past models. Here's a sampling of some of the features that apply to any model with the equipment: air conditioner valves, differential cases, 8.25" axle changes, disc brakes, alternator, California evaporation control system, steering column (including ignition switch and key cylinder), transmission linkage adjustments, three speed manual transmission, high performance 440 engine changes, Hemi hydraulic tappet, and 2210 Holley 2 bbl carburetor used with 383 engines. Since the Barracuda and Challenger made big changes in '70, there is a focus on their new features, including a/c and heater, bucket seats, door windows, overhead light console, wipers, instrument panel, inflatable spare tire, and fog lamp mounting. The book concludes with six pages of specifications, including lift points, height adjustments, interior dimensions, exterior dimensions, and major standard and optional equipment. You'll see a chart listing engine, transmission, axle ratio, brake, tire and rim combinations. Instructions are
accompanied by diagrammed black and white pictures and illustrations. Buy now to own this piece of 1970 history.
