AMC originally published the book in for the 1984 model, then issued updates from 1985 through 1988 - this manual has that original publication plus the updates inside it. Look for I.S. notes (service bulletins) in the back of the book for revised 85 through 88 information. This is the only way AMC made a shop manual in these years.
