Pictures and descriptions of prototypes and cars that never even made it to the prototype stage.   I found out a lot about what was happening at the "Big Three" during the war years. Particularly interesting was the story of Earle MacPherson and the stillborn Chevrolet Cadet. MacPherson designed what was to be Chevy's first post-war compact car. On the car he included features such as his front-strut suspension. But GM's bean-counters ended the project because the car's cost-to-manufacture was very near that of a basic full-size Chevy. A disgruntled MacPherson left GM and went to work for Ford. There he was able to use many of the design features of the Chevy Cadet on the 1950 English Fords. And by 1954 the entire FoMoCo line-up used MacPherson-strut front suspension. The General's loss was Ford's gain.
