This book depicts the story of how the Anglia came into production and the history of Ford at the time after the war. From the outset 'motoring for the masses' was the objective Henry Ford set out to achieve when he started producing motor vehicles; and the Ford 100E proved itself to be a true heir to his philosophy in many ways. As with the venerable Model T, the 100E satisfied the needs of many, being sturdily built with straightforward simplicity. It had an engine that gave more than adequate performance, and handling that delighted new and learner motorists. Above all, in the financially austere days of the early 1950s, 100Es were consistently inexpensive to run and maintain.
