This book is not aimed towards the amateur. The book lacks basic information for people who know very little about chemistry. Highly technical discussion of various combustion aspects. The book is nice to read for the professional, as it touches on a lot of interesting aspects of fuels. Not for those wanting to design their own fuel, but very informative on what's in all types of race fuels and why. Lots of graphs and charts, descriptions of technology changes and the history of development. Published 1996
