Opel Manta was introduced as a result of public demand for something
other than a box on wheels. Coming after the Capri, Opel Manta needed to
be sure of having the right car, especially from the styling point of
view. Initial reports were good, if not enthusiastic. There were several
engine options and a sophisticated suspension gave good handling and
road holding.
