This is the second edition published in 1969.  It has the data of the original book, covering 1957-1957, as well as an update chapter with 1968-1969 data.  It generally covers the lightest duty models (for example, it covers F-100 Fords, but not F-250 or F-350).

From the introduction:

"Every model pickup built since 1957 by Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, International and Jeep is pictured and described, with complete specification, in this valuable all-new book. There are over 50 photographs of the basic models. Under each is a chart detailing production codes, cargo capacity, tuning specifications and a dozen details you'll need to easily identify and select your best truck. As written by Ken Kelley, AUTOMOTIVE NEWS' leading truck authority, PICKUP PARADE clearly explains the professional's cost-cutting ownership of light trucks for fun or business. This basic information on truck purchasing will lower costs of buying the right new or used truck to do your job well. Each major make pickup (Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, International and Jeep) is fully covered in PICKUP PARADE. Separate sections for each make include shift diagrams, handling instructions, general lubrication data, maintenance details, engine tuning specifications for standard and optional engines with a complete identification chart for basic models built in the past ten years. This is a real pro's book, written for every sportsman or businessman who needs to buy a light truck. The six-page article on campers, and how to enjoy them, is only one of many "use and care" chapters of this book in which you'll find constant value. There's even a section on the pleasures women find in using a light truck as the family second car. From selection to buying, driving and maintaining: This is the complete light truck handbook."

From an ad for the book which is shown inside the book:

"Every pickup truck built in the past ten years is pictured, described and detailed with complete specification in this valuable all-new book by Ken Kelley. He's the nation's leading truck authority who clearly explains the professional's approach to truck ownership. Included are sections on specifying a new truck to handle peak loading only after inspecting the vehicle purchasing a used truck unit-identification code plate. From this plate you can learn which engine-trans-mission combination, differential ratio, suspension and cargo capacity were built into the truck at the factory.

Ken also discusses the growing number of women drivers who prefer light trucks to small cars. He explains the best way to lower truck insurance costs. There's tuning, maintenance, lubrication and service data in PICKUP PARADE. Everyone can use this book to keep a pickup in top condition. Drawings of instrument panels and driving instructions for American-made pickups give you complete confidence to wheel any pickup you borrow or bụy. Though this is a 'pro's' book written for the businessman, it is even more valuable for every truck user and sportsman considering money-saving advantages of owning a new or used light truck instead of a second car.
