Automotive, airplane, motorcycle art. His most productive period was the 1920s and 1930s, when he worked for Britain's leading automotive weekly, The Autocar. Working in media from charcoal to oils, his subjects ranged over motor racing action, caricatures, cartoons, technical illustrations, detailed cutaway drawings and depictions of fast cars at speed, always with a special sense of motion and excitement.
