There is no technical information about the cars - this is a publication that highlights photographs of the superb custom bodywork displayed on the various RR models from 1907 - 1939. The photos are of the highest caliber.
The contents are broken down into 16 sections with 14 being devoted to an individual British coachbuilder - Barker, Hooper, Cockshoot, Freestone and Webb, Gurney Nutting, Arthur Mulliner, H.J. Mulliner, Park Ward, Rippon, Salmons, Thrupp and Mabeley, Vandan Plas, Windovers and James Young. There is a separate section for the American coachbuilder - Brewster and another for minor British coachbuilders that occasionally produced a custom body for RR.
In this cornacopia of great custom coachwork, I found Gurney Nutting, James Young and Thrupp and Mabeley to have produced particularly attractive bodywork. Overall the quantity and variety of the custom bodywork that was produced by all these coachbuilders is astonishing.
This book is the usual high quality Dalton publication - high quality binding, glossy paper and elegant dust jacket. The book includes an index that matches the model type / chassis # with the body type and coachbuilder which is a nice coda.
