John
Passini understands the principles of Weber carburetor design, tuning
and maintenance through many years of experience and practice. By his
own admission, the author states that this 128 page book cannot possibly
make anyone an expert on Weber carburetors in one overnight reading.
Because of of its abbreviated length, the book avoids the analytic
approach and cannot be expected to provide the exact tuning
specifications for a particular car under exacting circumstances. It
does however offer an excellent quantitive approach to the subject so
that the reader is exposed to as much of Passini's varied knowledge as
can reasonably be expected. After reading this book, the adept and
intuitive reader will definitely walk away with a good understanding of
the Weber carburetor, and will be much better prepared to rebuild and
tune their own setup.
