This is a dealer-only album that salespeople used. It was written by Oldsmobile to train salespeople to sell vehicles to customers. It originally came as a large binder with several tabs, some of which had information behind them and some of the tabs were empty. The book was intended to be used throughout the year and have items added, so it includes some tabs with nothing behind them. The basic binder includes a sales training calendar with a list of dates and course topics, as well as an "Oldsmobile Training Matrix Overview" which explains incentive programs, sales consultant certification, customer feedback procedures, video network training, product meetings, and training materials & reports.
There's also a competitive comparison section. The book compares the vehicles to other brands, like Acura, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Lincoln, Mercury, Nissan, Plymouth, Pontiac, Toyota, Volvo Etc. You'll see charts for each model of Oldsmobile and its competition detailing dozens of specifications: engine specs, fuel economy, interior and exterior dimensions, and more. You'll see pages doing head-to-head comparisons of one Oldsmobile model and one competitor showing standard and optional equipment specifications on each, along with base pricing.
