This is quite a short book that looks at the early days of Lamborghini through to the Countach and Jalpa. That suits me fine because my main interest is in the cars of the 1960s and 1970s.

What's more disappointing is that all the photographs are in black and white. Appearance is such a big issue for Lambos that it's a shame not to see the full details in glorious colour.

There are six chapters:

1 - Ancestors and parentage

2 - The early GT cars - 350GT, 400GT and Islero

3 - The mid engined supercars - Miura, Jota and Countach

4 - Luxury cars - Marzal, Espada and Jarama

5 - The small GT cars - Urraco, Silhouette and Jalpa

6 - The practical side of ownership

There are also two apendices:

Appendix A - technical specifications

Appendix B - selections from various road tests on a fairly selective basis.

Mention of the Jota between the Miura and Countach may have surprised you. This was a lightweight Miura built for racing but the one-off was destroyed in a fire after an accident.
